ARCHDALE, N.C. —
American Century Home Fabrics is building a 1 million-square-foot plant for weaving and cut-and-sew operations in Hauning City, a suburb of Hangzhou, China.
The plant is on the company's 40 acre site which already has a 500,000 square-foot weaving and cut-and-sew operation.
The new plant, with 150 looms, will enable the company to expand its furniture cut-and-sew business as well as its home textiles manufacturing, said George Kerr, vice president.
