B-to-B sourcer MFG.com forms alliance with Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production for apparel/textiles industry

Atlanta – The textiles division of MFG.com and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) have struck a deal that will allow Wrap-certified factories to note the distinction on their MFG.com profile.
The certification assures compliance with local laws, workplace regulations, universal workers’ rights, the environment, customs compliance and security. The certificate applies to the individual factory, not a parent company or brand.
MFG.com is a global online marketplace for manufacturers who are looking to source custom engineered parts, standard components, assemblies and textiles. The site currently has more than RFQs (request for quote) for more than $30 million in textiles and/or apparel projects.
“WRAP certification, along with the MFG.com rating system, takes the guesswork out of the due diligence process when looking for socially compliant suppliers of textiles and apparel,” said Tony Forcucci, global director, MFG.com textiles and apparel sourcing.
