Shelton, CT — Latex Foam International chairman Bill Coffey retired last week during the company's annual shareholders meeting.
An industry pioneer with more than 50 years in the latex foam and rubber products business, Coffey began his career in 1951 as a laboratory manager at BF Goodrich's Sponge Rubber Products division in Shelton. In 1975, he co-founded Latex Foam Products with the late Steve Kordiak. He will now serve as chairman emeritus.
Stephen Russo, president and ceo, will divide chairman responsibilities with another director until a successor has been chosen.
