Springs adds new design team leader

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/20/2001 9:40:00 AM

FORT MILL, SC — As part of the reorganization of its Creative Development structure, Springs has hired Reesa Glassman as design team leader, mass market, based in the company's New York office.

Glassman was most recently design director of bedding at Arley Corporation, which she joined in August 2000. Previously, she was the senior design manager for Crown Crafts for seven years. She also received the 1999 American Printed Fabric Council Tommy Award for bedding ensembles.

Her hire follows the recent realignment of Creative Development that orients design resources toward key accounts. The new structure is intended to cement working direction across the design, merchandising, marketing and sales areas.

Design teams consist of a team leader, bed and bath stylists and outside resources as needed. In addition to Glassman, design team leaders include Ruth Fox, Donna Hein, Liz Spinner, Michele Aschenbrenner and Helen Curtin.

Product-focused team leaders are Wood Caldwell, Lorie Arthur and Bruce Slavey.

Sandy Robinson and Pat Welch, as process team managers, coordinate efforts between the teams and operations. Conceptual product development is being overseen by Cathy Thorne.
