NEW YORK —
Soft, silky and sparkly — those will be the primary characteristics of Bloomingdale's holiday offerings across a variety of apparel and home categories this year.
The retailer previewed pieces of its upcoming holiday assortment yesterday at its flagship Manhattan store. In home textiles, the assortment will include Echo decorative pillows made by Dakota from silk Echo scarves as a Bloomingdale's exclusive.
The retailer also developed a line of silk quilts, cashmere throws and cashmere dec pillows under the Only @ Bloomingdale's private label. In addition, there will be throws from Churchill Weavers in a variety of new colors.
Donna Karan Home's new mix-and-match bedding collection, called Play, was also included in the assortment. "We believe in it for holiday," said Lester Gribetz, vice president of home fashion.
In table linens, the holiday collection will be built around new patterns from Waterford, he added.
In the bath department, Bloomingdale's will emphasize sachets, soap sets and gift sets from Rance, Gianna Rose Atelier and Jacqua, among others.
We would love your feedback!
