Macy’s names Jakeman to head creative strategy

New York -- Macy's Corporate Marketing has appointed Brad Jakeman executive vp for creative strategy, effective Oct. 16.
Jakeman was formerly managing director of the Global Consumer Group at Citigroup, a company he joined in 1998 to lead the integrated advertising efforts of the company's consumer brands. Prior to that, he served with ad agency Ogilvy & Mather and with BBDO Sydney.
Anne MacDonald, president of Macy's Corporate Marketing, said, "Brad's new role will include responsibility for setting the strategy, positioning, character and tone of voice for the Macy's brand and its presentation. In addition, he will oversee the development of visual presentation of the brand in delivering the Macy's shopping experience in order to provide a strong, consistent point of view across the national distribution channels."
