Balta U.S. antes up al fresco assortment

At the New York Market – Balta U.S. came to market with a broad offering of outdoor rug styles than can retail from $59 to $99.

At the opening price point level is Anna, a reversible collection in simple stripe and square patterns that can be reversed. These rugs are set to retail for $59.

From there, Balta moves up to the Patio collection of sisal-like multi-ply yarn polypropylene collection. These rugs are priced at $69 to $79.

The new Chenille indoor/outdoor collection offers a new option not yet seen in this rug category – a soft, almost velvet touch. Made of polyester yarns and polypropylene accents, these pieces are said to be more resistant to weather and wear than its more affordable sister collections for the outdoors. Available in nine solid colors, Chenille rugs are poised for a $79 to $89 retail.

It’s no surprise that Balta’s thickest outdoor rug, Luxury, is at its best price point -- $99. The Grace collection employs thick yarns for a hefty weight and bulky feel.

Also growing for Balta is its popular shag rug assortment. New to market is the Ultimate Shag, which represents the company’s highest quality rug at $249 to $299 retails. These pieces are seven centimeters thick for a plush feel. Sister to Ultimate is Luxury Shag, which wears a denser pile.
