JLA Taps Onadein For New Post

Tayo Onadein has joined JLA Fabrics and JLA Home as vice president of design, a new position.
Onadein, a veteran home furnishings fabrics designer, most recently was vice president of design at American Century Home Fabrics,
In his new position, Onadein reports to George Kerr, president of JLA Fabrics and executive vice president, JLA Home, the company's cut-and-sew business unit. Kerr and Onadein are responsible for product development for both divisions, primarily jacquard fabrics.
The first jacquard fabrics of least 150 skus will be launched at Showtime. “We are pursuing opportunities in fabrics for outdoors, contract and prints,” said Kerr. The company has a design staff of 30 in China and three here, Kerr noted.
