Coelima USA To Offer Towels by Neiper

Coelima USA has entered into an agreement with Neiva & Pereiraas (Neiper), a leading Portuguese towel manufacturer, to merchandise and sell its products in the United States and Canada.

The initial offering will be 12 ranges of towels, beach towels and bath sheets in price points from low to high, said Jim Ceitlin, president of Coelima USA. Actual constructions and price points are still being finalized, Ceitlin explained.

Neiper's towels embrace a range of constructions: a new combed cotton/cashmere blend, plus existing combed cotton/linen, combed cotton/modal high wet modulus rayon, combed cotton/bamboo, and combed cotton/Tencel high wet modulus rayon. The company also uses Egyptian cotton and Supima cotton in a variety of yarn constructions including zero twist.

With spinning, dyeing, finishing and weaving capabilities, Neiper has annual sales of about $25 million.

Coelima USA is a subsidiary of Coelima of Portugal, a manufacturer of flannel, matelasse, and jacquard bedding.
