New York — Avonhome, a supplier of table linens and kitchen textiles, has promoted Chris Mooney to the new position of evp, sales and merchandising.
Mooney has spent the past four years at Avonhome, originally as a consultant and more recently as vp, marketing and design.
George Kouri Jr., president, created the post for Mooney as part of the company's recent restructuring of its sales and marketing division to better serve our new and developing customers as well as to best market Avonhome's new Style.Lab concept, located at the company's showroom offices here.
Mooney, who reports to Kouri, continues to work alongside Mary Bonanno, vp, creative services, both based out of the company's Style.Lab. He also now works more closely with Neil Simonson, vp, sales, key accounts, who still reports directly to Kouri. Avonhome's seven independent sales representatives will report to Mooney.
Before joining Avonhome, Mooney and Bonanno operated Mary and Mooney, a product development and sourcing company. Prior to that, Mooney spent eight years at Homemaker Industries working in various positions from sales manager to director of marketing.
