Menomonee Falls, Wis. – Surging mid-tier retailer Kohl’s said today it will launch an exclusive Casa Cristina home furnishings line licensed by Hispanic TV talk show host Cristina Saralegui, to appear in at least 200 stores and online by December.
The Casa Cristina brand was launched in 2004, and now features furniture, home accessories, lighting, mattresses, bed and bath accessories and kitchen textiles. The bedding and soft bath lines will be an exclusive to Kohl’s.
The line will roll out to all 817 stores by spring 2007, the retailer said, with products to include “bedding, bath and table linens, ultimately expanding into decorative pillows, rugs and decorations across several home categories.” Licensees include J.R. United for bed and bath, and Fallani & Cohn for kitchen and table linens.
"The Casa Cristina brand creates a new layer in American style by combining my personal creativity with the warmth and excitement of Hispanic and global design," said Saralegui.
Kohl’s president Kevin Mansell said, “Cristina has significant name-recognition among Kohl's Hispanic shoppers and we believe Cristina's vibrant sense of style will appeal to a broad cross section of consumers.”
