Franco Manufacturing to produce Op beach towels

Metuchen, N.J. -- Franco Manufacturing has acquired from surf lifestyle brand Ocean Pacific the license to produce and market beach towels bearing the Op logo; the license covers U.S. distribution.

Calling the brand “synonymous with the beach lifestyle,” Franco director of licensing Jeff Casner said, “There’s a great fit between the brand and our competencies in the beach towel market.”

A division of the Warnaco Group, Ocean Pacific is active in the apparel, footwear, fashion accessories, wetsuit and skateboard product categories, and sponsors a range of athletic and entertainment properties and events. Ocean Pacific senior vp licensing Andrew Lelchuk praised Franco Manufacturing for its capacity to “successfully manage this important, complementary category as it grows.”
