Arley's Schropp tapped as design dir.

NEW YORK —

Arley Corp. last week announced the promotion of Linda Schropp to the newly created position of design director for the company's bedding division.

Prior to her promotion, Schropp was working as a member of the company's bedding design team. As the design director, she will be responsible for design, sourcing and project detail. Julie Murphy, Lesley Brooks, Naomi Rosenblau and Sue Trapp will all report to her. In turn, Schropp will be reporting to Jerry Pittman, senior vp of sales and marketing for Arley.

Schropp joined Arley in 1999.

"I'm thrilled with this appointment," Pittman said. "It's a very positive step for us as we try to shorten our lead times in getting our product to our customers.'
