Evans Resigns from JCPenney

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/15/2007 12:00:00 AM

Deb Evans, vp product design and development, home, at JCPenney, has resigned, effective immediately.

Evans, who joined the retailer four years ago, has been one of the leaders in developing the JCPenney Home Collection, as well as the Chris Madden for JCPenney Home Collection; Studio Collection; and Cooks.

JCPenney confirmed that Evans had left and that a search was underway for a successor to fill the position.

Evans told HTT, "It's been a great experience, and we built four solid brands and I had four solid years of great performance. I met and worked with some incredible talents. I am looking at the next stage of my professional development to identify what I want to achieve at the next level of excellence in my career."
