Big Lots appoints new merchandising exec

Columbus, OH &3151; Broadline closeout retailer Big Lots has appointed Lisa Bachmann as senior vp of merchandise planning, allocation and presentation. Reporting to Kent Larsson, executive vp of merchandising and sales promotion, she will begin on March 25.
Bachmann will oversee all merchandise planning, allocation and presentation groups and will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and managing the execution of Big Lots' supply chain initiatives.
Bachmann joins Big Lots from Ames Department Stores, where she was senior vp of planning and allocation. She has 20 years of retail experience, including 15 years with the Casual Corner Group.
