HUNTERSVILLE, NC —
In response to its exit from sourcing and downsizing initiative, Davidson Cotton has laid off two executives in its New City-based art department — Joel Tro and Lesley Brooks.
Brooks, formerly art director for Davidson, was recently hired as art director for bedding manufacturer Arley Corp.
Davidson Cotton is changing its strategy to focus exclusively on the embellished towel business, meaning the company has officially exited the beach towel and other sourced-product driven businesses, according to William Heitman, executive vp.
"Our sourced businesses, of which beach towels was a portion, were not meeting our profit goals," Heitman said.
We would love your feedback!
