Doug Kahn to Head Croscill

New CEO Takes Over Upon Brother’s Death

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 10/10/2005 12:04:00 PM

New York — Douglas Kahn has been named president and CEO of Croscill Home following the Sept. 29 death of his brother David.

Douglas Kahn was most recently chief operating officer of Croscill Inc. and CEO of its Royal Home Fashions subsidiary. He left the financial industry in 1993 to join the family business. While his brother concentrated on sales and marketing, Douglas Kahn focused on boosting the company’s operational efficiencies and managing its transition into global sourcing.

Croscill also has established an Office of the President. Joining Kahn in that office will be Carl LeGreca, Julie Brady and Tony Cassella, previously vice presidents managing distinct areas of business.

Kahn remarked: “David built a team that is extraordinarily capable and committed to extending his legacy. The business has been evolving and based on the foundation that David laid. I am convinced that we will continue to be a dominant force in the industry.”

For the immediate future, Kahn will remain headquartered at the company’s office in Durham, N.C. Brady, Cassella and LeGreca will continue to be based at Croscill Home’s headquarters in New York City.
