FRANKFURT — Home textiles manufacturer Towellers, based in Pakistan, is planning to add another 100 looms to its operation, according president Sheik Mohammed Obaid.
At the Heimtextil international trade fair here, which kicked off today, the company debuted low-twist and Egyptian cotton blankets, low-twist and modal bath towels and microfiber kitchen towels with UltraFresh (a brand name) anti-microbial finish. The introductions were made possible by new equipment acquisitions over the past 18 months, Obaid said.
The company now has 400 looms and is negotiating for 100 shuttleless looms to prepare for 2005, he added.
