DMSI recognizes top vendors

CHICAGO —

Direct Marketing Services Inc. (DMSI) honored its top vendors for 2000-2001 during a celebration here last week. DMSI provides off-site catalog service for Sears, producing the Sears Home Visions, Room for Kids and ShowPlace catalogs, among other titles.

Rick Powell, ceo of furniture maker The Powell Company, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Bedding maker Outer Banks was named Outstanding New Vendor, and Southern Wood was recognized as Most Improved Vendor.

Other Partners in Progress winners included: Sure Fit, Shaw Rugs, Robin Rugs, Southern Textiles, Blue Ridge, Miller Curtain, Superior Shades, Creative Interiors, A.J. Boyd, Gulf Coast International, Jensen Metals, Kenney Manufacturing, Imaginair, Pine Knot Mfg. and Prepac Mfg.
