Madison, Va. – The Plow & Hearth Campaign to Reforest America outdid itself during the recently holiday season thanks to higher than expected sales.
The catalog and Internet retailer had pledged to donate a seedling for every transaction conducted between Oct. 15 and Dec. 31 of last year. There were more than 729,000 of them, according to the company. The seedlings will be planted in North Carolina, Louisville and Pennsylvannia.
The campaign launched in October 2008 and in the first year resulted in the donation of 1 million seedlings. Plow & Hearth has set a goal to donate another 1 million in the coming year.
We would love your feedback!
