Donna Karan Makes Color Count

New York —
Donna Karan Home changed the point of view of the Collection bedding to reflect more staying power for the master bedroom with Modern Classics.
The top of the line for Donna Karan Home, Modern Classics focuses on four color statements — each with its own design theme, trims, embellishments, and sheet and pillow sham set. The quartet is designed to show consumers how to fashion rooms that reflect their own sense of style. The four themes take design looks from Hollywood-inspired, to master bedroom, to glamorous, to over-the-top exotica.
The color statements are Rose Gold, Black Ice, Platinum Ash and White Gold — each translates the five basic elements. At the core are an ottoman faille cotton/polyester duvet cover, a charmeuse silk quilt, 400 count cotton sateen sheets with tailored pleated hems, and a cashmere travel pillow with a throw insert.
Retail for the full/queen duvet is $500.
Essentials, a core program, is enhanced with a new color — olive — for the silk duvet program.
DKNY Pure, the designer's core organic, eco-friendly program, introduced earth, a rich brown color, with unique pieces: a pillow sham with a sheer flange and a duvet with a button fastening near the bottom as well as core components designed for lasting power, said Joan Karron, evp of CHF Industries, licensee for the Donna Karan Home Collection in bed and bath.
Four beds with unique characteristics are the new entries in DKNY. Color Block with its folded pleats is new in a rose/plum combination with a coordinating engineered floral print sheet and pillow sham.
Diamond Stitch uses a grid-patterned embroidery for the duvet and a dramatic sheet; Ruch Gather Duvet features luxurious use of ruching. Ribbon Stripe is a cotton canvas with appliqués on a charcoal ground.
In bath, Chrysanthemum Floral is woven on a light weight matelasse with ombre accessories; Graphic Dot is featured in towels, shower curtains and accessories.
We would love your feedback!
