CH Designs Opens Retail Showroom

Upscale rug company CH Designs, which launched in January, has opened its own retail showroom here.

President and ceo Charles Hobgood has staged the space much like an art gallery to showcase brilliant color and large-scale designs on the handcrafted, New Zealand wool rugs.

“We want customers to experience the magnificent color, scale and quality of our rugs the minute they walk in the door,” he said. “Every stunning design is fully displayed and spotlighted, without the use of racks or stacks.”

Collection I is the first series created through the collaborative efforts of Hobgood and Circe Lucas of Circe Design. Each rug is an original, copyrighted design that comes with a serial number and a certificate of authenticity signed by both designers.

The rugs are handcrafted in China and approved to carry the Wools of New Zealand Brand. Sizes include 6-by-9, 8-by-10, 9-by-12, 10-by-14 and 12-by-15.

In other news, the “CH” in CH Designs was awarded a U.S. Patent and Trademark Registration Certificate. As such, Hobgood's initials brand each textile design.
