Martex challenges people to 'Get Organized'

WEST POINT, GA. —
WestPoint Stevens' flagship Martex brand will be the exclusive sponsor of the fourth annual "Get Organized Community Challenge" beginning Jan. 26 on iVillage.com, the lifestyle Web site geared towards women.
The event will be a six-week program designed to help individuals and families get rid of clutter and establish control over their lives.
Professional organizer Regina Leeds will use a combination of step-by-step instructions and journal-writing exercises to show participants how to uncover the root of their chaos, streamline their workspace, stop procrastinating, clear out bathrooms and kitchens, and clean out their closets.
As a grand prize, Martex will be offering a Grand Patrician Geneva bedding ensemble, a Martex Embassy heated mattress pad and Martex Diamond Facets bath towels, shower curtain and accessories.
Last year more than 16,400 people took part in the "Get Organized Community Challenge" on iVillage. "Martex has strong brand equity among mid- to high-income women and is a very trusted brand for everyday family use," said Bob Dale, president of the bed and bath division at WestPoint Stevens.
The Martex Web site (www.martex.com) is featured on iVillage.com, which has hosted some promotions in the past. Martex also partners with WeddingChannel.com and MarthaStewart.com.
