A grateful Orian signs with J. Garcia

ANDERSON , S.C. — Orian Rugs has signed a licensing agreement with Jerry Garcia Estate, LLC to design, produce, market, and sell area rugs under the J. Garcia brand.

Between 1985 and 1995 Garcia, best known as the lead singer of the Grateful Dead, created close to 500 individual pieces in watercolor, gouache, pencil, ink, airbrush and digital media.

Sizing will be 4-ft. x 6-ft. and 8-ft. x 11-ft.. Some patterns may also be translated into 8-ft. runners, 3x5's and rounds. Expected retails range from $199 to $ 899.

The collection will debut in January at the Atlanta Rug Market.
