Cotton Inc. Elevates Dupuis

Changes in Fashion Marketing Continue

-- Home Textiles Today, 9/27/2004 12:00:00 AM

Cotton Incorporated has promoted Claire Dupuis to the new position of senior trend forecaster, to be located in the company's Los Angeles office.

The new position is a result of the restructuring of the Fashion Marketing department. Dupuis will continue to report to Kathryn Novakovic, director, Fashion Marketing.

Dupuis previously held the position of trend forecaster, Juniors, in Cotton Incorporated's New York office, monitoring the streetwear and denim markets in that category.

Paula Rosario, senior executive, retail and fashion marketing, said, “Taking this action supports our global strategy and allows us greater involvement in the flourishing denim and manufacturing community in Los Angeles. The core function of this new position will move away from The Cottonworks Library management, and move toward being a gateway to Asia with extensive travel to the Far East. In addition, this position will also serve as an outgrowth of the New York Fashion Marketing team, and bring a new flavor to the development, research and impact of trend presentations.”

Prior to Cotton Incorporated, Dupuis worked in brand development for Tag-It Pacific, a trim and packaging company.
