Brylane asks for secret ballot

New York — After meeting here with representatives from the Union of Needletrades Industrial, and Textile Employees (UNITE), Brylane L.P. has filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board in Indianapolis asking the NLRB to conduct a secret ballot election at the retailer's Indiana distribution faciltiies.
UNITE has been actively trying to organize Brylane's Indiana distribution center workers, claiming that a majority of these employees want union representation. Meanwhile, Brylane has consistently and publicly expressed its support for a secret ballot vote, in order to accurately determine the interest of its employees in union representation.
In other news, Brylane has selected TrueSpectra Image Server, a provider of service-based imaging solutions, in an effort to speed its website development and increase product sales across multiple brands and websites.
