Capel names new design director

Troy, NC — Capel Inc. has appointed Lou Herring Webster as the new design director for its product development team.

She replaces Kea Capel, who left the company earlier this year to start her own accent and area rug company, Kea Inc.

Prior to joining Capel, Webster spent eight years with LaGrange, GA-based Milliken & Co. both as a carpet designer and design manager for residential upholstery fabrics. While at Milliken, she was initiated into the company's Innovator's Hall of Fame and her team was awarded Contract Carpet Team of the year for 1995 and 2000. Her designs earned top-ten and million-yard sellers for Milliken.

"Lou is both talented and intelligent," said Jesse Capel, executive director, to whom Webster will report. "Her many years of educational and practical experience will bring a great deal to Capel."

Webster will be based at Capel's corporate headquarters here.
