New York -- After several weeks of testing, the new Linens ‘n Things online store announced its grand opening today. The url -- www.lnt.com -- is the same as that of the predecessor company, which liquidated late last year.

The internet only retail operation -- owned by Gordon Brothers Brands and Hilco Consumer Capital -- embraces a wider range of prices points than was typical for the forerunner bricks-and-mortar chain. Bedding ensemble pricing runs from value-oriented ($39.99) to luxury sets over $1,000. Bath towels are priced $2.99 to $79.95. Bath rugs are priced from $26.99 for a two-piece set to $289 for a 31-inch-by-36-inch washable cotton rug.

Window panel prices ranges from $9.99 for a basic rod pocket voile to $126.99 for a pinch pleat. The selection of table linens is sparse.

The site carries more than 200,000 products, according to the company, including 10,000 skus of pet supplies.

The primarily product segments include bedding, bath, kitchen, electrics, dining, décor, window, pets, travel, baby, toys and clearance.
