Value City adds Kolberas vp, ceo

COLUMBUS, OH -Value City Department Stores has announced the appointment of George Kolber as vp and ceo. He was the coo of American Eagle Outfitters Inc. for the past five years, and will continue to serve on its board as vice chairman.

"George Kolber has an outstanding record in turning around companies experiencing difficulties," said Jay Schottenstein, chairman. "He is well acquainted with Value City, having previously served as an officer of the company for several years, including 1991, when its successful initial public offering took place."
