Sears Prototype Emerges at Former Kmart Site

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 11/26/2007 12:00:00 AM

A 23,000-square-foot Land's End shop is emblematic of the new Sears in this Atlanta suburb, a store that has opened in a former Kmart location at 4269 Roswell Rd. (Both retailers are part of $53 billion Sears Holdings.)

Besides the Sears-owned Land's End brand, this latest shop-in-shop format also romances national brands in categories from home appliances to sporting goods to workwear.

The store will also carry consumable items that typically appear in the Kmart merchandise mix, in categories including pharmacy, health and beauty, cosmetics and greeting cards, the company said.

The Land's End shop features a mix of products in baby-to-adult apparel and in home, and offers a monogramming service. Any order placed from the store via catalog or through landsend.com is offered with free shipping.
