Cologne, Germany — —
Cologne, Germany — IMB, the textiles processing equipment show that takes place once every three years, has been scheduled for May 10-13 at the Koelnmesse Fairgrounds here.
Responding to exhibitor requests following the 2003 event, the duration of the show has been reduced by one day from five to four days.
The show expects to feature 700 exhibitors, 20 of them from North America. Approximately 24,000 attendees from 114 countries are expected to attend, according to Koelnmesse GmbH, the organizer of the event.
Attendee groups will primarily include senior management from textile processing manufacturers and technical staff such as engineers and equipment buyers.
Responding to market changes, the event will show an increased number of solutions for technical textile production compared to the traditional applications in apparel production. In addition, the show will highlight the trend toward flexible machinery usable for various applications.
A significant number of new exhibitors will show innovations in CAD technology, which has experienced major developments since the last IMB 2003.
The Chicago-based subsidiary of Koelnmesse will be organizing a U.S. Pavilion sponsored by the North Carolina-based Industry Association SPESA, the Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas.
For information on the U.S. Pavilion participation or for more on the show, contact Ken Dickerson, U.S. project manager, at 773-326-9926 or k.dickerson@koelnmessenafta.com
