Donghia launches new Creations line

NEW YORK -Donghia Furniture/Textiles Ltd. will launch the second collection from Creations Metaphores.
The Paris-based Metaphores, a division of luxury accessories and home products house Hermes, specializes in unique constructions using luxury fibers and yarns. It emphasizes the beauty of the raw materials, the depth and variety of color, and the harmony of combinations and juxtapositions under the direction of Oliver Nourry, creative head and managing director.
Donghia became the exclusive marketer of the fabrics in the United States last year.
The new collection ranges from hairy surfaced mohair/wool blends, to raise matte yarns on shiny grounds that create vertical light waves to textures that combine matte with golden iridescent yarns to a woven cotton, polyurethane finished faux leather.
