New York —
Upscale bath towel and bedding house Kassatex Inc. is relocating its showroom in 295 Fifth Avenue to the first floor occupying a portion of W-C Designs former space.
Ernesto Khoudari, president of Kassatex, told HTT the new showroom in suite 111 — which fronts on Fifth Avenue — is almost double the size of the company’s current showroom, which measures 5,500 square feet and is in suite 814.
The new showroom – which includes a basement area – measures 10,500 square feet.
“In the past couple of years, Kassatex has successfully expanded into the bedding category as well as the bathroom accessory category, and this will give us the space we require to show our extensive line of products,” Khoudari explained.
Kassatex expects to be moved into the new space by Jan. 1.
As of October, a bankruptcy judge approved the sale of Anaheim, Calif.-based W-C Designs to Bristol Associates Ltd. for $1.25 million in cash. The company went into Chapter 11 bankruptcy in mid September.
