Pawtucket, R.I. – Braided-texture area rugs and accessories domestic manufacturer cmi (Colonial Mills Inc.) has created a more affordable Mini Rug Sample Center, designed to “maximize retail sales opportunities in a minimal amount of space,” the company said.
The Mini Center allows shoppers to get a quick snapshot of cmi’s rug offerings. It measures five square feet; its self-service rack displays six styles and “literally millions of color and design options,” cmi touted. The customer can choose form any six of 32 binders available.
Free merchandising aids that function with the Mini Rug Sample Center include a full yarn POM set, style story cards, a color catalog and rug style name labels. cmi is offering retailers the Center at nearly half off – or free with a $1,000 net order.
Donald Scarlata, cmi president and ceo, added that drop-shipping is available for simpler ordering and delivery.
