Federated's Lundgren to add coo duties

Federated Department Stores has announced that Terry Lundgren, who has served as president and chief merchandising officer since May 1997, will assume the additional title of coo, effective April 15. The company has also extended James Zimmerman's current contract as chairman and ceo. The contract, which would have expired May 2003, has been extended at least through February 2004, the company said. Continuing to report to Zimmerman, Lundgren will remain the senior merchandising executive for the company and, along with Zimmerman, will continue to supervise all of Federated's retail divisions. In addition, Tom Cole, chairman of Federated logistics, operations, store planning and systems division, will now report to Lundgren.

With designs on creating a total home store in the United States, Aga Foodservice Group PLC acquired Domain Home Fashions. Aga Foodservice, best known for its Aga stove, also designs, manufacturers and retails consumer and commercial brands in the United Kingdom.
