LAURINBURG, NC —
Looking to push its offerings upscale, Charles Craft recently partnered with the Supima Association, representing the first licensing partnership for the domestic kitchen towel manufacturer.
The launch is scheduled for the New York Home Textiles Market later this month. It will target specialty retailers with suggested retail prices set at $3.99 to $4.99 per kitchen towel.
The line includes three Pima kitchen towels — a terry jacquard, a solid and a white ground dobby — as well as a solid and a white ground hemmed dishcloth. The line is rounded out with a heavy terry pocket potholder and oven mitt. It is available in eight colors — Niagara blue, brick red, fern green, Pinehurst green, indigo navy, volcanic black, taupe and butter yellow.
"The Pima cotton has inherent qualities in terms of softness and luster that are readily apparent to even a casual observer," said Clifton Buie, president.
Sizes and weights of the different product offerings are as follows: kitchen towels, 17" x 28", 3.40 pounds per dozen; hemmed dishcloths, 14" x 14", 1.25 pounds per dozen; heavy terry pocket potholders, 8" x 9", 2.10 pounds per dozen; and heavy terry oven mitts, 14 inches square, 3.40 pounds per dozen.
We would love your feedback!
