Mascioni launches conversion unit

Cuvio, Italy — Mascioni said it will be offering "turnkey" service, broadening its scope to include finished fabrics and finished product.

The company also announced it has hired Flabio Clerici as manager of its converting department. Clerici spent the past six years at Frette, where he was supply chain manager for the hospitality division.

"Our business has changed dramatically over the past few years," said ceo Carlo Mascioni, "and the market we cater to is demanding a ceaseless supply of leading-edge concepts, in terms of innovative fabric treatments, grey goods and finished products. The new converting function will allow Mascioni's customers to diversify across the board, without the added expense of managing a more complex supply chain."
