Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. —
Heat transfer resource Transprint ceo William Boyd is retiring from day-to-day operations; he will consult to Transprint on innovation.
Boyd grew Transprint into the largest producer and supplier of top quality heat-transfer paper in the U.S. The company, purchased by Colorep in 2007, is now expanding as a major heat-transfer paper producer to the design, fabric and finished goods markets.
“Bill is a true industry giant,” said Colorep ceo Larry Levy. “His depth of knowledge and experience is immeasurable. His legacy will continue through the innovation and dedication of the Transprint staff.”
Boyd, a past president of the International Transfer Print Institute, led Transprint to develop a library of more than 15,000 designs sold to customers around the world.
The company recently launched a new corporate identity, including a new logo and an upgrade to its website, www.transprintusa.com. The logo uses blue and green to communicate commitment to sustainability and improving the environment, according to Bonnie Julian, vp of design and marketing. Among its recent product developments is AirDye, a lower-energy, non-polluting dyeing and decorating process.
