AIpek Tul opens U.S. office

ISTANBUL, TURKEY —
Turkish manufacturer and exporter Ipek Tul has opened a New York office to build both its home textiles and apparel businesses. The company also has acquired a warehouse in the Newark, NJ, area.
"We have a big capacity — five factories," said foreign trade general manager Barbardos Alatas. "We make bedding, laces, table clothes, shower curtains and window. We want to expand all of those businesses [in the United States]."
