TUSCARORA LAUNCHES NEW PROCESS

MT. PLEASANT, NC — Tuscarora Yarns has launched its patented "Five Star Brand" process for manufacturing yarn that creates smooth, intimately blended combed cotton heather fabrics.

The process, according to Martin Foil Jr., chairman and ceo, produces a yarn that is silkier with high sheen, better touch, evenness and strength.

The process also offers more consistent fabric color and higher-quality fabrics at competitive prices with existing market products, according to the company.

COTTON INC. SLATES CONFERENCE

NEW YORK — Cotton Inc. will hold its 14th annual Engineered Fiber Selection Cotton Fiber Management Systems Conference on June 11 to 13 in Greenville, SC.

The conference will feature technological advances aimed at linking all segments of the cotton industry as well as providing cotton management and analysis information and electronic communication between the channels involved.
