Fontenot named to WestPoint board

Atlanta — WestPoint Stevens has named president and coo Chip Fontenot to fill a seat on the mill's board of directors vacated by the resignation of Alfred Eckert III last August. He will come up for election by shareholders to the board of directors at a later date.
Fontenot joined the company in December 2000.
