Carson, Calif. —
Leading decorative pillow and throw supplier Brentwood Originals has been working out service arrangements with customers since about 180 workers went on strike at the company's Youngstown, Ohio facility March 7.
The workers are members of the United Steelworkers local. Wages and benefits are at issue.
In a notice to customers, Brentwood president and ceo Loren Sweet said the company has been working with a federal mediator to resolve the contract dispute. He described Brentwood's offer as "fair and balanced."
Brentwood's facilities in California and Mississippi have stepped into the breach, and the business is running uninterrupted, according to the company.
We would love your feedback!
