Pawtucket, R.I. —
cmi — Colonial Mills Inc. — is expanding its indoor/outdoor collection of colorful sunbraid rugs.
These rectangular rugs work for use on decks, porches, pool areas, and even boats and are resistant to water, stains, mildew and fading. They feature vibrant, flat braid fabrics coordinating with each rug's field of solid color. There are eight base colorways available — café tostado, pale banana, black, blue ice, celery, brick, chocolate, and Cuban sand.
The sunbraid rugs, made of 80% polypropylene and 20% polyester, employ cmi's trademarked CableLock construction of rope-like braids that create a thick-textured softness combined with the classic flat-braid, which intertwines three ropes of fabric and yarn to produce a durable and reversible rug.
Donald Scarlata, president and ceo, said, "Our research continues to tell us that consumers are looking to extend their interior décor to the outdoors. The sunbraid collection offers them a creative option."
The line coordinates with accessories made by cmi. They include chair pads, placemats, trivets, table runners, rug slices, heart rugs, stair treads, utility baskets, and waste baskets.
