European shows understated

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM —
Prints, soft designs in wovens with lots of coordinates and embroideries and embellishments were the directions seen at Decosit and TIP here last week.
The design and color mood was understated for the most part, with softened shades of pink, blues, greens and reds among the most prevalent. Delicate, viney lines in jacquards and prints acted as important backgrounds and also as key coordinates.
Bold, dramatic design statements took a backseat to classic themes such as damasks, cabbage roses and Art Deco looks.
Both at TIP and Decosit, there was an abundance of embroideries and surface embellishments as well as a plethora of silks.
We would love your feedback!
