Fortunoff hires Bobkin, Kwon

Uniondale, N.Y. – Longtime home fashions executive Mitch Bobkin has joined specialty retailer Fortunoff as fashion director for furniture, rugs, lamps and wall art. He also will buy decorative accessories.
Bobkin, who was most recently with retailer Domain, began his career with Scandinavian Design and also was with Jordan Marsh in Boston and Main Street Fabrics. He reports to Mike Larkey, consultant to Fortunoff.
Sam Kwon has joined the company as senior buyer for upholstery and occasional, filling a position that has been open since March. He was most recently with Ralph Lauren Home retail, and earlier worked at West Elm and Marshall Field’s. He also reports to Larkey.
“This completes the building of our very professional Fortunoff’s furniture and related product team with both Fortunoff’s and external professionals joining us,” said Charles Chinni, president.
