Scandia Home expands offerings

New York — Roughly 18 months after launching its shift from a luxury white bedding manufacturer to a full fashion home resource, Scandia Home feels it’s getting traction in its new role.
“It’s been a very good transition for us,” said Tyler Heiden Jones, general manager and executive vp, in the company’s temporary showroom here last week during New York Gift Week/Home Textiles Market. “We have now fully embraced the new logo.”
Scandia Home continues to build out its fashion bedding offerings, introducing a solid color sateen sheet program as well as a reversible sateen quilted coverlet program in five colors. A set of sheets in the open stock program sell for under $400 — a price Scandia considers a value for its customer base, the top 5% income household.
A new top-of-bed offering named for the abstract expressionist Mark Rothko consists of a duvet cover in ombred neutral shadings. Coodinating sheet options include paisley or a geometric pattern embroidered on the cuff. The queen duvet retails for $580.
A new down coverlet program serves as a more casual top-of-bed option or a layering component. It’s constructed of wrinkle-free, down-proof sateen with a 600-power fill of Hungarian goose down. Machine washable, the coverlet comes in five colors in either a basket weave or a diamond pattern. The king retails for $395.
Scandia Home also introduced a new bath towel program. Antalya is made in Turkey and constructed to be plush but not heavy. Available in eight colors, the bath sheet retails at $70 and the bath towel at $45.
We would love your feedback!
