Scala beds dress for evening

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 4/11/2003 3:47:00 PM

New York — Bedding can now transfer easily from a day look into evening, thanks to the new bed overlays introduced this market at Scala Intl. Made of silk, the bed overlays use color and embroideries to glamorize the bed.

The Bed Dressing collection is the first introduction by designers Anne Bertsch and Fran Shenker. Bed Dressing falls into four stories. All have coordinating quilts, duvets, window and throws. A queen-size overlay wholesales for approximately $120, while a solid color queen quilt is $80 and the Patches silk quilt is $110. Besides the Bed Dressing group, Scala debuted the quilt patterns circles and pompoms to its washable silk group, as well as Gridwork, a polished cotton solid reversible ensemble in eight colors.
