Villency adds flagship

NEW YORK —
Maurice Villency, a retailer of contemporary luxury home furnishings, has launched a new flagship store here, in conjunction with its new home accessories line.
The store, which measures 30,000 square feet, will be located on Third Avenue between 56th and 57th streets, and opened last week. Its interior will be marked by clean lines, geometric areas and a sloping ceiling, while the exterior is encased in 400 feet of translucent starfire glass.
Maurice Villency is also premiere its luxurious home accessories line at the same time, with 1,000-count sheets, pillows, kimono robes, soaps, bath salts and home fragrances.
The company, established in 1932, sells furniture in six locations here and in Washington under the Maurice Villency and Roche-Bobois brands.
