Great Bay adds elegance to shades

NEW YORK -Adding a touch of elegance to the window this year will be Great Bay Lace Co.'s new pattern for its Roman shades line.

The Littleton, MA-based company, which is owned by European mill Gardella AG, introduced its newest look, as well as others, at the New York International Gift Fair held here at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

The new window covering pattern will be called Petite Fleur and be available in white or ecru in a 72-inch length and 27-, 34- or 40-inch widths.

"It's a great product," said Karen Suprenant, national sales manager, Great Bay Lace. "We see a lot of opportunity, and we're really working on developing it."

Suprenant said the shade is an elegant addition to any window but practical in letting in soft light while providing some privacy as well.

Petite Fleur is also offered in a 60" x 36" two-piece swag; a 60" x 17" valance; and a 60" x 24"; and 60" x 36" tier for the window while various sized rectangles, as well as a 13" x 19" place mat is available for the tabletop.

Wholesale prices range from $6.25 to $20, with retail price points ranging from $34 to $50.

Also new from Great Bay are the window patterns Baskets and Bear Paw, as well as the shower curtain pattern called Lost Lights.

Baskets is available in a valance and two sizes of tiers, while Bear Paw is offered in a swag and three sizes of tiers. Both patterns are offered in white and ecru. Tabletop items and a mantel scarf are available for Bear Paw. Wholesale prices for Baskets will range from $6.25 to $9.75, while Bear Paw for the window will range from $7.50 to $12.25.
