Dollar General taps execs

GOODLETTSVILLE, TENN. —
Dollar General in May hired two executives to join its management team as vice presidents, general merchandise.
Kevin Easton, who spent the past three years working for ShopKo Stores as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, has been appointed vice president, general merchandise — home and apparel.
Prior to his stint with ShopKo, he worked at Target Stores for 12 years. Starting out as a senior buyer from 1987 to 1990, he moved up to divisional merchandise manager from 1990 to 1993 and last served as vice president/merchandise manager for the men's division from 1993 to 1999.
Bass Koury was named vice president, general merchandise — consumables.
